No Jobs to Be Lost at ANR Robinson International Airport

Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (the Authority) proposes to renovate and refurbish existing facilities at the terminal at the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago and to construct a first class international wing.

To this end, invitations were issued for Expressions of Interest for the Design, Build and Operate of the new proposed terminal at the ANR Robinson International Airport. However, it has come to our attention that the advertisements may have caused concern to workers at the Tobago Terminal, that jobs would be lost.

The Chairman of the Authority, Mr. Gerald Hadeed wishes to emphasise that no jobs will be lost. Mr. Hadeed assures that the airport in Tobago will continue to be owned and operated by the government of Trinidad and Tobago through Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and that there is no intention whatsoever of concessionairing out the ANR Robinson International Airport.
