Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago Welcomes U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden
Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago celebrates the successful visit of United States Vice-President Joseph Biden, his wife Dr Jill Biden and their two grand-daughters to Trinidad and Tobago. They arrived on the United States Air Force Two aircraft at Piarco International Airport at 8.25 p.m. on Monday 27th May, 2013.
Biden was met by the Honourable Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar , Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Dookeran, United States Charge D’Affaires Thomas Smitham and Defence Force officials as they exited the aircraft. Ms. Persad-Bissessar then introduced her cabinet to the U.S. Vice President and his family as they made their way along the red carpet on the tarmac.
Biden spent some time on the tarmac listening to Trinidad and Tobago Defence Steel Orchestra with their rendition of Natasha Wilson’s ‘Sweet T&T’ before he hurriedly entered his vehicle and a motorcade then followed to the Hyatt Regency hotel.
