Aviation training for pioneering performance- overview

The Aviation Training Centre (ATCEN), a subsidiary of the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, was established in 2003. The Authority has entered into an agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), an arm of the United Nations, to have a Regional Aviation Security Training Centre (ASTC) to serve and provide aviation security training to promote the global application and development of States within the North American, Caribbean and Central American Region. The Aviation Training Centre is among 29 ASTC’s worldwide.

The Aviation Training Centre has also aligned itself to other International Organizations and Institutions and has entered into partnership agreements with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airports Council International (ACI) and is an accredited training centre affiliated to both these institutions and offers a vast number of training courses and workshops to promote the Human Resource Training and Development to the personnel of the AATT and its stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Aviation Training Centre is responsible for the coordination, scheduling and procurement of aviation and non-aviation related training programs and workshops.
